1. Who we are
CartBook is operated by Posch Inc, DBA Moke America Virginia Beach, which is the data controller for the personal data described in this notice. You can reach us at tim@mokevb.com.
2. What we collect and why

We do not collect or store your card details. Payment information is collected directly by Paddle at checkout.
3. Who we share data with
- Paddle.com, our Merchant of Record, for sale of the product, subscription management, payments, invoicing and tax compliance.
- Service providers and subprocessors — hosting, database, email delivery, analytics and error-monitoring providers acting on our instructions.
- Marketplace and data partners you explicitly connect, only to the extent needed to retrieve the listings you asked for.
- Professional advisers such as our legal and accounting advisers.
- Authorities, where we are required to disclose by law.
We do not sell your personal data.
4. Retention
We keep account and appraisal data for as long as your account is active and for up to 12 months after it closes, so you can reactivate or export your book. Transaction and tax records are kept for as long as required by law (typically seven years). Logs and telemetry are kept for up to 12 months. After these periods data is deleted or anonymised.
5. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to certain processing, receive a portable copy, and withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. Virginia residents have rights under the VCDPA, including the right to opt out of targeted advertising and to appeal a refused request. To exercise any right, email tim@mokevb.com; we respond within 45 days (or one month for UK/EEA requests). You may also lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
6. International transfers
CartBook is operated from the United States. If you access it from the UK or EEA, your data will be transferred to the US and protected by appropriate safeguards, such as Standard Contractual Clauses with our processors.
7. Security
We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encryption in transit and at rest, row-level access controls scoped to your account, encrypted storage of third-party credentials, and least-privilege access for our staff. No system is perfectly secure, but we review these controls regularly.
8. Cookies and local storage
We use strictly necessary cookies and browser storage to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and enable offline use of the installed app. We use limited analytics and error-reporting to understand faults and usage. We do not use advertising cookies. You can clear or block storage in your browser settings, though sign-in will stop working.
